Evita

All change today!  J came and collected Scratch, bringing chocolates from Glyndebourne, and my cat sitting duties also came to an end.  It was also a day of hen moving!

The guy who is now renting next door is happy for us to use the hen house in his back garden.  It was abandoned, with so much else, when the very difficult tenant and his family did a moonlight flit.  Better still the new guy has also cleaned it out and disposed of the dead hens that he found in it.  What a nice chap! And he has a lovely cat called Bubbles too!

Mike and I did a bit more cleaning and scrubbing and then moved our three in.  It's a big house and has a good big secure run, with the bonus that it is just outside our back gate, rather than down the road.  Lots of advantages so let's hope that Bubbles' owner stays and we can use it for a good while.

In the evening we spotted the Alana Evita at the mouth of the bay.  She's a general cargo vessel and, so far as we can make out, she's here as something to do with the attempted salvage of the MV Priscilla, which ran aground on the Pentland Skerries on Wednesday.
