It wasn't my fault.......

Honest, I didn't even touch them. I just wanted to look at that book at the bottom. It wasn't my fault if the others were all resting on it.....

Actually, it's a piece of contemporary art. We visited the National Trust property Blickling Hall today. An interesting house and beautiful gardens. The house has a very large book collection, the most significant cared for by the NT. The books are currently undergoing a comprehensive conservation programme after being plagued by damp and death watch beetle for many decades and to raise money to ensure the survival of the collection there is a series of book related artworks around the house and garden titled 'The Word Defiant'. This was probably the most dramatic but I've added an extra of a small part of another which was quite clever.
