Wolterton Summer Fair
To Wolterton Hall this morning for the Summer Fair, which we'd been alerted to yesterday by GracieG and Bom. It was a very nice affair, only in its second year, and held in the grounds of a country mansion originally built for Horace Walpole. The stalls were mainly food-related and all seemed of good quality. I had a venison burger for lunch while W had a Wild Boar sausage sandwich, but there were plenty of other options including a Burmese street food stand, pies, and seafood. There was a dog show planned for the afternoon but we watched this demonstration of sheep shearing which was fascinating, and the sheep didn't seem to mind in the least being shorn!
Later we drove to Cley and spent a couple of hours on the beach in glorious sunshine. More paddling, and whilst we did, a seal came and popped his head out of the water a few times nearby. We're both a little bit pink from the sun but nothing too bad, and have had a really enjoyable day.
