Lava

Lava fields, southern Iceland. One of the strangest, most other-worldly landscapes I’ve ever seen. Vast areas of southern Iceland were covered in lava during a cataclysmic eruption in 1783. Over the last 200 years the cooled lava has slowly become covered by moss.
Morning: lava fields, waterfalls and walks
Afternoon: World Cup final (never a penalty) and a walk along Fladrarglgljufur canyon (easy for you to say )
