Paddling Pool

Our first walk of the Bavarian summer, no mountains involved though, just woods and lakes. This is the beautifully clear water of Ostersee but being stirred up a bit by a couple of pairs of shuffly feet, cooling off after a few hours' walking. There are Scots Pines all along the eastern lakeshore, probably more than I've seen alongside a Scottish loch! That'll explain the local red squirrels.
Was happy to see a lot of butterflies flitting about but almost no other insects to be seen. And no birds, a couple of chaffinches was our lot. The food chain is buggered.
