Like A Bullet

So today we were off to Kyoto via the Shinkansen, or Bullet Train. 450 miles in 2 and 3/4 hours, up to 186Mph... I've not been as fast on land. It was very peaceful and comfortable onboard, in extra 1 Ms H is taking a snooze!

After checking in we took in a few sights and shops, with Ms H finding somewhere cozy in extra 2. After dinner we went up to the Pontocho where there was this narrow street lit by lanterns and shops and restaurants that looked incredibly inviting, alas we'd eaten - extra 3. Tomorrow the hard work begins, we've a busy day!
