Diary of an Edinburgher

Murder!

Gosh, we're loving this weather. In fact, it's so good, a whole different 'Scottish summer wardrobe' has had to be sought. JR changed about six times today for various activities - gym, walking the dog, shopping, relaxing out the back in the sun, relaxing on the sofa in the evening. Each required a different outfit. (Not to mention trying on various hot weather items she'd just re-discovered).

I, too, sought out emergency summer footwear - my flip flops (jandals). I haven’t worn them in many a long year. And of course, when you first put them on between your toes, it's murder! I've been shuffling around all day in absolute agony, so the best thing to do is to sit with my feet up and watch tennis. Should be easier tomorrow.

A chap came round to check out the back door step. I need it made into more of a proper step. I'm afraid of tripping on it and dropping the drinks tray on the way to the bbq.

Archie had a bath - another bonus of this warm weather is that he can play outside and get dry, instead of ten minutes with the hairdryer. He gets very frisky after a bath, so runs around with his toys or the balls. Here he's pausing for a moment in a nice wee patch of clover. Unfortunately, this nice wee patch of clover attracts bees, which are slow moving and Very Interesting to Archie.

Just watching a terrific women's tennis match - Muguruza vs Van Uytvanck. Only one of them grunts. It's so good that JR has even looked up now and again from her iPad.
