Amaryllis.

I was given this Amaryllis just after Xmas and it was spectacular ! It produced to beautiful flower spikes before being put in a windowsill in my utility room to rest until Xmas next year. Or so I thought! It has only gone and flowered again. Amazing! Perhaps it will also flower for Xmas again too! Good value if it does!

So to catch up on the past couple of days. Well it VAT time again so I have been chained to my desk doing end of month bills and VAT. We have also all been working towards the Christening of Harry this Sunday. I have found the Family Christening robe and it has been freshly laundered. However Harry is quite a big boy and I have now been tasked to alter the Victorian gown to accommodate his rather chunky arms. It can be done but is a very delicate and pains taking process. I am also not sure why I volunteered either!! I also have the cake to ice as well which hopefully I will be able to do tomorrow. The cakes were made on Monday so I must now get on and ice them. The theme of then cake is Peter Rabbit!

Farming - The past two days have been a mixture of routine compost hauling and Silaging, although rain stopped play this afternoon. Much needed rain I hasten to add as the grass has really not grown at all from first cut silage or hay as yet.

We are also busy on a major garden tidy up as there will be lots of guests who will wander in it at the Christening. More work I fear. It is truly never ending here! Mr Tbay has been mowing every available bit of grass he can and strimming a lot too. The place does look quite good as a result!
