The Christening Cake.

Phew! Christening Cake is done. I am very glad this is now out of the way and it has worked. I am all self taught so it’s always a case of flying by the seat of my pants when it comes to decorating cakes . This was my first 2 tier cake too. The weather made it a bit more tricky as the icing was melting just too much which made the smoothness of the finished icing a bit dodgy. However when the topper is in place I think it will look ok!

Farming - Silaging team out first thing to finish off what they started yesterday. Two on mushroom compost.

A manic day all round with the build up to the Christening! 80 people invited so better do some intensive housework / gardening tomorrow!! Not enough hours in the day!!
