England lost

At cricket in the T20 international v India at Old Trafford. Although England batted well at times - with 69 by Joss Buttler - the Indian bowlers restricted England to just 159 runs, which was clearly not enough. India easily passed that total with 10 balls to spare, with Rahul scoring 101 not out.

This blip shows a lively group of Indian supporters sitting in front of us. There were probably more Indian than England fans in the crowd, possibly because of another England game being played in Russia. As the sun set over Old Trafford, many of the crowd stayed behind to watch England beat Colombia in the (football) World Cup, through a penalty shoot out. The highlight of the day for me was the sound of the Indian supporters singing "Football's Coming Home" as we left the stadium.
