Daisy and Co
Oh boy hasnt it been hot today ?!!!!!
I was in Manchester with sis, a mere 33 degrees, phew!!!!
I drove over before 11, already 27 degrees, which gave me a little time for a pit stop to snap these wild flowers, with their tiny infiltraitors for todays Tiny Tursday challenge. This shot reminds me of one of those blank cards you can buy!
When I got there sis was mid sorting out Kobis injections pre him getting his passport so he can travel abroad with them in their motorhome :-))
We headed into Manchester, had a lovely lunch, tried to stay cool, then walked over to St Annes Square and onto King Street so sis could take back a top she had bought. Lastly into Boots, sis had to get her own passport sorted, so into the dreaded photobooth. She hates having her photo taken at the best of times, especially today, as she has a blistered nose from the sun at weekend :-/ We did attempt to cover it with makeup, not sure it was a complete success, but better than it was ;-) Sis continues to have her pain, she has an appointment next week to discuss options now we now whats causing the problem.
We popped to Sainsburys on our way back, for a few things I needed. We could see the smoke hanging in the air like a smog across the sun. It was coming from the Saddleworth Moor fires........firefighters have been battling them for four days now, must be awful for them in this heat!!!!
The drive home was sweltering......still 33. I had planned to go straight to the local High School where Emily is singing in the cross schools choir, but I had to go home first to put things in the fridge, it was just to hot to leave foodstuffs in the car, even for an hour :-/
Their singing was brilliant! Two songs, one from The Greatest Showman, This is Me, it almost reduced me to tears, but I managed to hold it in ;-)
A light tea of smoked salmon prawns and salad.........its still very warm at almost 9.30pm
Every door and window open and not a breath of air!! Sleeping is going to be fun tonight :-/
