Jaywalking

Well it was, when I lined up my shot, then it took off!!!

A grey and damp morning......we delayed walking into town until almost midday as the forecast said it would brighten up then.....it was still raining, so checked again, brightening up at 2pm :-/ Waterproofs donned, we headed out.....windy, chilly and wet!

We had a coffee and followed it with lunch in the cafe, passed an hour reading the paper and a magazine, waiting for the weather to buck up, which it did, before popping to,get a couple of things I needed for this evenings meal, namely sticky rice and red chilli.

On the way home, something caught my eye, sure enough, the blue flashes of this Jays wings. Dont know who was flapping more, me or the bird, as I grabbed my camera, checked the setting.......focused and pressed, just as it decided to get airborne!!

Its a bird I just havent seen very often at all.... they are such a lovely colour, so although its not a great shot, I was still pleased to get it....and as my original plan of a late sunset shot, for the wide Wednesday challenge, sub theme light, has backfired big time.......no light, very overcast again after dinner :-/

Pottered in the garden for a while whilst the sun was out, a cuppa on the deck, watered the baskets, a bit of deadheading....... the sun disappeared, chilly then, so in we went :-/

Dinner was thai green prawn curry with jasmine rice in case you're wondering ;-)

For the last few days I have been using some Slimming World recipes for our evening meals, they are very tasty and seem to be working ;-))
