Sports Day

An overcast day, but pleasantly warm......
Hub didnt sleep too well, apparently downstairs for a hot chocolate at 2.30!

We had a walk to the shop first thing, took the longer route back. Had a coffee sat on the deck, whilst catching up with a few of your journals.

An early lunch today as we had to be at Emilys school for 1pm, in time for Sports Day. She has become quite an elegant runner over the last couple of years, taking part in Park Runs, Gymnastics, Cheer Leading, Street Dance, Stage School....you name it, she has tried it :-)

Another collage Im afraid, as there were several images that I wanted to use, depicting her enjoyment, competitiveness and team spirit.

The House that Emily is part of won the Cup on the day, in terms of total points awarded across Years 3/4/5/6, in the four disciplines contested. Needless to say they were very happy come the end of the afternoon.

Its so nice to see all the children in all the classes taking part, whatever their abilities.

We have had a fresh tuna nicoise salad for dinner this evening, which was really filling, but very tasty!

Ive just watched the Master of Photography programme on Sky Arts.......that was a tough assignment!!! Not sure I agreed with some of their critique though, but hey, what do I know ...... ;-)
