CannyScot's Day

Tour of Manchester United Stadium

A dull, wet morning becoming brighter in afternoon

We drove down from Kendal, where we are holidaying, to Manchester for a Tour of the Theatre of Dreams (Man United Stadium). I have followed Man U as a fan since I was a teenager, and never miss a game on TV. So I was thrilled to finally visit the Stadium.

It is immense, seating over 75,500 every home game. The Trophy Room holds dozens of cups from all over the world as well as the many major domestic trophies. A very moving section contains tributes to those who died in the 1958 Munich air crash.

Other highlights were sitting on the Manager’s seat in the ‘Dug Out’, the Director’s Box, the Press Room and being on the pitch side looking round the huge Stadium.
