Of Birds and Surfers

From time to time, these tin can birds make an appearance along the pathway by the ocean. A phantom artist leaves them on fenceposts, but I've never caught him in the act. In the background is the audience for the Coldwater Classic, a big deal surfing contest that goes on for many days here at Steamer Lane. My favorite part is the traveling video camera mounted on a pair of long wires strung across the cove. As a surfer comes in from the right, the camera zooms along on its flexible track to capture the entire event.
