It Was In the Wheelbarrow
"Come quick," said Mr S. I was kneeling in the dirt, trying to dig up irises that had become hopelessly entangled with the pineapple sage, all of it a big lumpy mess. So, yeah, I was willing to give it up and go look at whatever he'd found. The spider was scrambling around in the wheelbarrow, unable to scale the sloped sides. What a beautiful orange color, and how big and fat it was, but no way did that creature want it's portrait made. I'm really surprised that I got some shots that were in focus. When we turned to other tasks, somehow he made it over the side to freedom.
