Box Hill, Dorking

Dorking is about an hour away from where I live. My friend Helen and I had tickets for the theatre there in the evening but we left about lunchtime so we could enjoy the area first.

Box Hill is land managed by the National Trust. We enjoyed an ice cream while taking in this amazing view. We then walked all the way down (275 steps), crossed the river on stepping stones (see Extra photo) and eventually made our way up again along a different but just as steep route. I was glad I brought my new Nordic walking sticks! Once back at the top we rewarded ourselves with a picnic with this same beautiful view. (See Extra photo)
