Ragusa

We have driven about 100 miles up the coast to the famous Valley of the Temples where we will visit tomorrow.

On the way we visited the town of Ragusa which is not overly touristy but lovely.  It is in two halves either side of a ravine.   Unfortunately we parked on the wrong side of town which involved a walk down and up into the old town.   However it did give us this lovely view across the gorge to the old town which is called Ragusa Ibla.

We found that there was a bus to take us back - phew!

My extra shows a wedding that we gatecrashed at the cathedral.   Must have been someone important because there was a guard of honour of soldiers with swords and all the bells in the town rang when the ceremony was over
