Rough Mediterranean

We have moved on to a lovely campsite on the South coast of Sicily at a place called Punta Braccetto.   The campsite is only graded as 2* but it is one of the nicest we have ever stayed on.   Campsite gradings are usually based on the number of facilities on offer but totally ignore the cleanliness of the facilities.   This campsite is immaculate with lovely green hedges and plants,   enormous private pitches and we even have our own private toilet.   It is spotlessly clean with access directly onto a beautiful open beach.

The grading is marked down by the absence of a pool (the sea is a few yards away) and no restaurant (there is an excellent seafood restaurant a few hundred yards up the beach where we have just eaten).   My extra shows the view down to the beach from the campsite.

Weather today has been variable with periods of sunshine and torrential downpours.  Fortunately it is more settled this evening but there has clearly been a storm at sea judging by the waves.
