Damsel Heaven
I've spent most of the afternoon in the garden researching the music for my next choir concert in preparation for writing the programme notes - over 700 years of it - I've [re-]learnt a lot about the various period of music too!
As a break, I grabbed the camera and went bug hunting in the garden. This pair of damselflies were happily flitting around the pond, with the lower female dipping her tail into the water every now and then. Her mate has a black tip to his tail - as can be seen with a solitary male I captured sitting on a fir next to the pond (extra)
