Today's the day ............................ to wait for the rain

It really is not often round these parts, that we hope it will rain.

We're usually up to our knees in it and wishing it would stop - but that what happens when you live in the wet west of the country.  Even more unusually, they seem to be getting loads of it down south.  It's normally the other way round.  The soil is as dry as a bone and all the water butts are practically empty.  The plants in the garden are desperate for a good soaking.

This one is alright because it grows in the pond - but the water level there is way down.  The weather forecast promised thunderstorms today.  So far we've only had the thunder ...........................
