Rain in Kent

The storms are following us about. First in Hay and now in Kent.

We took the children to Down House, Home of Charles Darwin, and thankfully they got totally involved in following a trail through the house when thunder and torrential rain kept us indoors. Then we went to Charles’ Creepy Critters, a bug handling session where children were told a lot about Charles Darwin and his ideas through looking at and touching various creatures. The tortoise was a hit with the turtle/tortoise loving nine year old, but we all liked the Gecko.

And meanwhile it is day after day of sunshine at home. Don’t worry – when we eventually make it back from our travels, the storms will come back with us.
