My playground

I don't think I ever thought that I was unhappy living in the flat (I'm sure I wasn't) but moving here has made me so happy. It's amazing what a little garden, some lovely neighbours, space for my bike and some peace and quiet can do. I'm so thankful for this little house.

Today I did something that I've wanted to do for a while! I rode my bike over to Nescliffe (cycle paths nearly the whole way) then did a bit of trail running around Cliffe (not sure I've mentioned that it's my new fave place?!?!). It was delightful and I loved every second. I love Cliffe for its sandy trails and it's beautiful views. I love that you can see over the Berwyns on the Welsh side then the Breiddens and finally over the Stiperstones and Shrewsbury. I hope I never tire of the beauty of Shropshire.

Then a slightly more scenic ride home, over the back lanes past Adcote and apparently where all the rich people live in their lovely big houses.

Delightful.

Then home for the final BBQ of the weekend. I'm not sure I'll tire of eating outside but even the notorious meat-eater, SS, thinks we need a break. Nice little spontaneous visits from Dad, the Curtai and Fran while I was faffing around the hot coals.

What an absolutely fantastic weekend!
