Glachbeg
These lovely Shetland cattle are on a Croft education Centre that we are going to be visiting with Brownies next week. Catherine and I had a visit ourselves to talk to Bob the owner/ teacher. A brilliant place with chicken , guinea pigs , sheep and cows.I even got to stroke a lamb that was just a few days old.
There was a great poly tunnel full of crops which have been grown from seed. Our main focus is recycling and a look at gardening for a badge so the use of newspaper to make little pots and the three stages of composting was of particular interest.
The education classroom has a great grass roof with swallows, starlings and sparrows all nesting within it.
After we had lunch at the garden centre, a very tasty lentil soup :)
