Hide and Seek

After breakfast, although it was a bit chilly, we decided to head to Pennington Flash for a few hours fresh air.

Hubs knee stood up pretty well, we certainly got our 10,000 steps in, whilst walking around the lake, popping in the bird hides, watching the children running around on the park, then up onto the canal towpath for a couple of miles before turning back.

We sat and had a coffee and a sandwich overlooking the lake, lots of activity, including some rather large fish basking just below the surface, jumping every now and then, I am guessing probably carp.

We had another short wander to let lunch go down, when I spotted this little boy shouting "bet you cant find me Grandad!". It is funny..... how little ones think if they cant see you, you cant possibly see them ;-). A plausible Silly Saturday entry maybe ;-)

It was mid afternoon by the time we got home, and before we knew it, time for tea!! Chicken, maple bacon, fresh pineapple, with red onion and pepper skewers done on the griddle, with salad and coleslaw :-)

Watched BGT, gave Eurovision a miss for the first time ever, watched a film on sky, eith CliveOwen, Anon........it was margi ally better than Eurovision. :-//
