Popping in and out

Didnt reach the dizzy heights of second at the quiz last night, but still we got a good score :-)
Slept like a log and woke up to a grey day, with spots of rain on the windows.

The garden will be much happier after some light steady rain throughout today. Typical as youngest son and DiL have the day off and came to ours, so we could take them out for lunch, to celebrate DiLs birthday, which is tomorrow. It didnt spoil the enjoyment, we all enjoyed our meals, had a couple of drinks and then we drove back home, at which point the sun broke through.

Once they had headed for home, I quickly got changed and snapped a couple of flower shots for todays challenge, whilst the sun was
" poppying" in and out, as its Flower Friday.

These little poppies have self seeded all over our garden over the last couple of years... we like them and wouldnt dream of pulling them up! I love the way the sun shines right through their delicate paper like petals :-)

I think we will be having a lazy evening in tonight, which sounds quite appealing right now :-))
