A perfect day!
The first day of Grace and John's holiday at Tigh Beag with Eda and a truly perfect day. Sun from the word go and no wind, just as we know it can be be here at this time of year.
Sadly it is our last day but it has been great to share it with them.
Straight after breakfast it was down to the beach. Eda's first and she was mesmerised by the sea. I had my 'muck' boots on so waded out a little way with her. She loved it. Tomorrow it will be six years since they got engaged on this beach so it is lovely for them to now share it with Eda.
We had a coffee and scones at the Piping College sitting out side enjoying the view and then did a walk around the headland of Rhuba Dunan with views over the Minch and the Summer Isles. A lovely view of Ben Mor Coigach on the return where the route passes two abandoned crofts and the remains of a Broch.
We couldn't walk too far as we had a late lunch booked at the Summer Isles hotel and they wanted us to order by 2.30. Marvellous seafood again. G & J shared a 'small' Seafood Platter! It was huge.
Back to the house and the garden. G and J have never sat out as they have either had weather not suitable or midges. Made up for that today. Out came the shorts and Eda was changed into a little summer playsuit that used to be Grace's!
Out came the G& T's too!
Hard to choose from such a great day but I went with the garden. I hope it continues for them next week.
