BT Tower

It wasn't until my husband & I were walking back to our hotel last night that we saw the BT Tower all lit up and realised we had been staying just a few streets away from it. You'd think a building that size would have been hard to miss but we somehow did until it was illuninated in the dark! I did take some photos last night but they really didn't come out well in the dark. So I took this one this morning when we were walking to Kings Cross and have played around with it a tad on photoshop.

Although the building closed to the public about 30 years ago, we were lucky enough to attend a black tie dinner in the revolving restaurant there 18 months ago. Even when you work for the company and have been invited to an event there, you have to go through so much security just to be allowed in the building. But when you get to the top, you have the most amazing views over London. Perhaps now a once in a lifetime opportunity - who knows if I will ever get to go up there again!

We caught the train back to Edinburgh at lunchtime. Had a lovely few days in London but it's good to be back home again now.
