The Children's War
Today was our 2nd day in London and we decided to go to the Imperial War Museum, as it is somewhere I have wanted to visit for a long time. I hadn't appreciated how huge it is though! We spent 5 hours there and still didn't see everything (how our feet ached by the time we left though)! It's a very moving museum (especially the sections on the Holocaust) and well worth a visit.
This picture was taken in a section called The Children's War. This is an exhibition about World War II as seen through the eyes of British children and it includes a wonderful mock up of a 1940s style house.
In the evening we met up with my cousin and our Stepgran to go and see The Sound of Music at the London Palladium. It was fantastic! My cousin knows one of the cast members so we met her afterwards at the stage door and she took us backstage and let us go up on the stage to see the set. What a great evening!
