Looking East
8.3C. Hardly a breeze at all. Sunny and cool.
So much brighter today! Maeve the Deerhound and I went for our walk after lunch. It was great to be outside in the bright light. We went up the road to the church and I was amazed to see so much mud still on the road as the police have been publishing warnings to farmers on the dangers of mud on country roads. Beyond the church I was slipping all over the place in my walking boots. If a car goes through that area quickly ... look out ! Maeve has four paw drive and didn't seem to have any problems.
We walked down the field with the bridle path to the shore. The field is very wet again after yesterday's rain. Walking along the cycle path we noticed that all the sheep were at one end of their little field. As we opened the gate to the field the usual train went by, heading south to Dundee. Tide high again today and good waves rushing in to shore but breaking out on the rocks so Maeve and I didn't have to dodge any breaking on the beach. Maeve did have fun running away from the sea washing up the hard wet sand.
Two men at the Fishermen's huts. One was moving sheets of wood to the area on the access road that was being repaired a while ago. Not sure if they are part of the repair or covering drying concrete. The other man was the owner of 'Shamara II' and he had a portable generator going and was doing some repair work on his boat. Since the light was so good and as the sun was noticeably further over the sky since the clocks have gone back that I shot a few seascapes, and very few close ups.
Later we will be thinking about whether we want to put Maeve into jail kennels in a couple of weeks time so we can have a couple of days in Edinburgh.
