Above Collioure

Today’s walk was a 12 km hike above Port Vendres and Collioure with about 450 metres of ascent. The flowers were beautiful all the way along the route that took us through the terraced vineyards that produce the famous sweet red aperitif wine, Banyuls. We stopped to admire the old windmill which used to press the olives and enjoyed a lunch at Fort Elne.
