Finally, at the third attempt

Today I finally climbed to the top of Skiddaw. The attempt in February was aborted just beyond Skiddaw Lower Man due to snow, ice, high winds and rapidly approaching storm clouds. The attempt last month was aborted at Jenkin Hill due to very high winds. Today, heat exhaustion was a possibility as it was the warmest day of the year so far but we had started early and had done most of the climbing before the sun warmed up too much. The blip is the view from the summit across Longside Edge and Lake Bassenthwaite.
