St Osyth
After yesterday's gravity-related camera incident, I borrowed Peter's Canon 1200 D today for a splendid walk along St Osyth Creek. There was a lot to see, including egrets and oystercatchers. Unfortunately although we could hear a cuckoo, loud and clear, we couldn't see it. In the warm sunshine, there were fine views across to Brightlingsea and a colourful row of beach huts.
The walk back via Point Clear was lovely, past some small houses in an unrivalled position on such a day. Not all of the signs were welcoming and there were some indications of economic distress. Just before our personal finishing line at the Red Lion, we passed a very closed-looking building.
