They finally got carved! It was last night actually. Amelie sat on the floor and helped me scoop out the innards then she drew a face (or several faces) on her little munchkin whilst I got to work with the knife. Whilst she was in bed I drew a more suitable cutting face on hers and carved it too. I tried explaining halloween to her but don't really think it sunk in....perhaps next year.
Today has been pretty lazy in some respects (a PJ day) but in very productive in others. I've done several washes, put a load of stuff on ebay (which actually took a lot longer than expected), we made the rocky road to take away this weekend, paid for an extra car parking space at our destination for the weekend, cleaned up cement weetabix that had gone EVERYWHERE when Amelie's bowl fell off the table and I did more packing. Amelie had slept until 8.30 so we were an hour and a half behind schedule when we woke up.
In other news, our heating is fixed! Hooray! Not that we are going to put it on but still, its a good thing to have available to us. And I just shut my thumb in the washing machine door, trying to close it quickly enough to stop the little ball of washing gel falling out...
Time for dinner and then bedtime for Amelie.
