This is Queen Amelie, dancing.

Another day, another pumpkin remains uncarved. We have actually been quite busy this afternoon (but spent the morning watching a tree surgeon cut down the huge tree in the garden across the road from us). We got a call to say that our plate we painted last week was fired, glazed and ready to collect then we had to pick up some stuff from Waitrose and post a parcel before rushing back to let in the guy who came to have a look at our broken boiler. Well, I say broken but the hot water is working perfectly fine. Its the gas. Apparently we have an electrical problem with the gas? I know, I know, how does that work?!

Then I had a chili to make for Saturday night (its going to be frozen and transported on our weekend break) and I decided to clean whilst that was cooking. Amelie, meanwhile, ate marshmallows and got a bit hyper. Singing twinkle twinkle at the top of her voice over the noise of the hoover. I think I preferred it when she was afraid of the hoover...

Chris worked yesterday and last night and he's back in the office this afternoon before possibly going out tonight again. MADNESS I tell you. I won't tell him though, oh no, he just won't listen!
