Statsraad Lehmkuhl Visits Scalloway

A calmer day, but mostly overcast for the day.  By 4pm the rain came in, and been raining most of the night.

I was working on the museum desk all day again.  It was a steady morning, and only me and Anne on.  We seem to have a serious staff shortage just now.  The afternoon was quieter.  With the rain, it's been a quiet evening at home.  Mam popped by with nieces Lottie and Anna tonight, cuppa and biscuits.

The Statsraad Lehmkuhl is no stranger to Shetland's water, but today saw her first ever trip arriving into Scalloway.  She was accompanied by HNoMS Hitra, which has a connection to Scalloway and the Shetland Bus story.  Both boats are here for events in Scalloway for the weekend, commemorating the wartime connections between Scalloway and Norway through the Shetland Bus.  The Hitra was based in Scalloway between 1943 - 45.  Taken from the Scord, Scalloway.
