Take It To The Bridge

We left the children in bed as this means we can get out of the house before midday and had a lovely walk from Ambleside,  up the Scandale Valley, along the old packhorse road and around High Sweden bridge.

After the walk, we picked up the children and went down to the water front and waited to hire a couple of boats. This is always a fun way to pass an hour. The children love it and there's always a level of competition between the boys boat and the girls boat.
Home for a quick shower and change the  out to a very good Italian restaurant in the town.
