Birthday Cake

This morning Daddy took C to swimming while the rest of us walked into Hitchin, well William rode in the sling, and bought some cheese and cakes at the farmers market.

After lunch N&P arrived to take W to see the Queen and I finished the icing on his birthday cake whilst he was out. They came back early as The Queen was cancelled due to lack of interest, but luckily the cake had been finished. Pumpkin carving with Uncle James then ensued. I dont mind that so much as the kids don't really understand the whole meaning and it is just a bit of fun for them.

Now we have the double edged sword of do we keep them up a bit later and hope they sleep in a bit with the clocks changing, but run the risk of them not sleeping in and just being grotty tomorrow, or send them to bed as normal and be up from 5am! Answers on a postcard please...
