Birthday Boy!

William has had a great third birthday. He woke to a pile of presents and baby Ellie still here. After present opening and breakfast we went off to Church as he was really excited about being old enough to go to the kids bit, disaster struck at Church as I forgot it was half term and Children's lit doesn't run in the holidays! However both kids were really good for the whole service, which was a relief as I have never had them both with me for the whole service before.

When we got home William found that James, Vic and Ellie had gone, but Granny and Grandad had arrived. So another present, lunch and on to the big soft play. There we were met by Nanna and Poppa and Aunty Jo and Uncle Jonie and more presents. William was in his element choosing various people to play with and generally racing around. By the end he was so exhausted he was on the brink of tears.

We went home for tea, sausage and mash, followed by birthday cake as requested, round with sweets on top and three candles as his request changed to on Thursday. This is the birthday boy himself, the big old three year old, having finished his birthday cake, he was covered.

Happy Birthday my little boy, you can be a pickle at times (particularly when you are tired) but you are also very loving and very funny. You make us laugh even when you don't mean to. Your personality very different from that of your sister, but not in a bad way. Infact the reports I get from Goslings about you are very similar to those I used to get about Carys. You both are caring, gentle and polite children. At three you can ride your balance bike for a long way without putting your feet down, you love swimming, but not getting your face or head wet, same goes for the bath, but the shower is your nemesis. You have finally decided you like colouring, drawing and painting. You will sit for hours while you have books read to you but have started asking what sounds the letters make. you can count to twenty without help and recognise the numbers 1-10 when you see them out and about. You still don't sleep through the night (I really hope I am not writing this next year) but are happy to lie quietly and snuggle in the mornings. I love waking up to a cuddle and a little voice saying "Lub you Mummy." You love playing games and take turns nicely, you love Music Train (infact music generally) and Ballet. Most of all you love your Min and she loves you too.
