Snow-Capped Camellia

We had our fair share of snow again today: Kate had trouble getting out of the lodge s he and her friends had beenstaying in and passed one or two cars being pulled out of ditches before she got back on the relatively clear main roads.

She wasn't too impressed to get back and find their gas heating had decided to pack up. Fortunately they've got an electric fire inthe living room so, after a morning of indoor play, we dropped Sophie back home this afternoon.

Our camellia seems to be surviving the weather; perhaps a bonnet of snow helps to insulate the blooms.
