Having put together another shelving unit yesterday, we spent this morning tidying and reorganising the contents of our garage so that we could fit in lots of stuff that Kate couldn't fit in her new home but didn't want to throw away. We were quite .... happy with the results.

Unusually for me, I spent an hour this afternoon reading: I'd left Shardlake, the hero of CJ Sansom's Tombland in a rather perilous situation when I turned out the light last night and was anxious to see how he extricated himself from it.
