St-r-r-r-e-t-c-h!!

This heron spent lots of time today standing on one leg, with the other curled up tight to its body.  It’s been quite chilly for southern Florida recently, so I’m guessing that stance conserves heat.  Then it was time to get the kinks out - slowly it stretched out one wing at a time; then all of a sudden, it ruffled its feathers and stretched out its typically folded neck.  Quite the balancing act on one leg!
