Shopping together

There was no way out of it. Circumstances meant that we had to do a supermarket shop together, an event we both of us do our best to avoid! N likes to get the shopping over as quickly as possible, rushing from place to place, picking up only the items that are on the list. My system is more leisurely, looking for inspiration and for things we may have forgotten to put on the list. Not normally compatible methods, but today I just followed meekly behind while surrepriciously slipping odd items into the trolley! The peace was kept.
We were on our way back from the cottage hospital where two weeks ago I had my cataract operation. The check up confirmed that all is well.
