Snow Curls

Dear Diary,

This is the first time I have been able to record this strange phenomenon of the snow curling off the roof. It only happens on steel roofs which the barn and ell have. Normally, it isn't this perfect so it makes a good rememberance of this big storm.

We got around 20 inches of the white stuff here but in Dover, New Hampshire, not too far away, they had 30 inches! The largest single storm snow fall I remember here was 28 inches but that was over two days. This 20 inches fell in less that 24 hours. It took Matt and his wife some time to clear it and Chris, the man who has plowed my driveway for 22 years, had to plow twice.

I hope our temperatures rise so the melting can begin. It is very pretty but really, spring is only two weeks away! Enough already!
