Crocus
Having been told off by rather more horticulturally minded Blippers than me a little while ago for mistaking a miniature iris for a crocus I hesitate to make a definitive identification here. However, if I was going to stick my neck out, I'd say this was a crocus. The miniature irises seem to have survived the snow and after looking a bit battered at first have now dusted themselves off and drawn themselves up to their full four inches. The crocuses have decided today is the day; about fifteen of them have suddenly popped into flower.
