Now, as I see it......

Another Snow Day

This morning we woke to find that the village was nearly cut off, with three of the four roads in blocked by snow and the fourth down into Newport Pagnell only passable with care. I walked over to the village shop and took a few shots on the way back, including this of my house. This is one of the lesser routes into the village which remains blocked further down, and we had a lovely quiet day with hardly any traffic going by. The snow doesn't look very deep as the high winds had blown it off the trees and roofs but it had then drifted into deep piles which caused the problems. It started snowing again at midday and has been snowing fairly heavily ever since so we know that apart from our lane one of the main roads to the village is still blocked and unlikely to reopen tonight.

After two days of enforced staying in we are both feeling a bit 'cabin-feverish'; tomorrow I had planned to see a steam train going through Bedford fairly early but it looks unlikely I'll make that, and I'm hoping the roads will be clear enough to get to my rugby match tomorrow afternoon.

I've added an extra of the Buddha in our garden, slowly disappearing!
