Snowday #2

Second snowday and another due tomorrow! Two tired boys today - much bickering and generally annoying each other. We took a walk into town - D n C thought they’d walk on the pavement as it’s more fun, I stuck to the road as the foot of snow on the pavement looked hardwork!
Still no buses or trains working in central Scotland. The shops were running out of supplies - milk and bread shells as were bare. It took us most of the morning to go to the shops because D n C had to jump in many piles of snow, and investigate every icicle. The views across to the hills were amazing. As o cleared a path to the rabbits first thing it was wonderfully quiet and I could hear a woodpecker drumming and everything else was muffled by the snow, it was beautiful,
In the afternoon we built this snow fort and a nearby snow wall so that a snowball fight could be had. A stopped work to join in which was nice. Once everyone was exhausted and hungry we retired into a cosy house!
This evening the wind has picked up and it really doesn’t sound nice out there! I was going to go for a walk to clear my head of children bickering but it’s sounding a bit wild. The stove is lit and so I think soon there will be a bottle of wine open!
