Snowface!
Gym closed!
Half an hour on the bike ✔️
There was about a foot of snow in the back garden last night when Archie looked out, with a view to having a last piddle. I gave him a wee shove, and he stepped out, turned round, and came back in again. I shoved him again, and again he decided he didn’t really need to go out. And as he/I didn’t get up till about 10am, that means he held on for about 20 hours! Is this a record?
We went out into the beautiful snow. There were no cars around, so Archie was off the lead, charging up the middle of the road, excitedly barking at everyone he saw.
Back home, bike ride completed, we relaxed by the roaring fire while watching the periodic horizontal blizzards and were glad we didn’t have to go out. Our nice neighbour popped in this morning to see if we needed anything, but another neighbour said the shelves in the one shop that was open were empty.
Rufus's mum's boiler packed up. But a hero plumber rang her and talked her through 'disconnecting her condensate pipe and draining the boiler'. It worked! An unknown Good Samaritan cleared our path too.
Elizabeth wasn’t at work in the afternoon, and so in a sunny spell, she took Archie out for a play. Of course, five minutes later, they were in a blizzard! But they saw the best snowman snow-woman ever. (Extra)
Look at Archie’s face! He rubs his beard in the snow. Then rubs it more to get rid of the snow. He's not very bright. He's relaxing by the fire now, having thawed out and the ice ice cubes on his feet have melted. (Photos by Elizabeth)
Right. I’ve had enough of it now. It can go away...
