Tower Bridge and Shard

This is the view from the hotel after having walked 500 miles. Well maybe the distance is an exaggeration, but we certainly walked a long way. Along the South Bank from the hotel as far as the Houses of Parliament, then cross over the river again to Covent Garden.

A drink in a bar at Covent Garden cost a fortune. We got a bus back to the East End and then walked back to the hotel. In the evening it was raining again so a meal at St Katherine's Dock, next to the hotel, seemed like a good idea.

Although it was raining the cloud had lifted enough for me to get this picture of Tower Bridge, with the Shard to the right.
