East End Pub
This morning after leaving the hotel we drove over to the Columbia Road flower market. I hope I have the name of the road correct.
Lots of flower stalls and masses of people. I don't know how the stalls can sell so many flowers in one day. Luckily it was not raining for once, at least not until the afternoon.
At a junction along Columbia Road I notices this pub. Since it dates from 1923 it must have survived the bombing during the war. While we were out walking yesterday we passed a building which at one time had been a Truman's brewery. It likes like Truman's was once the dominant brew in the neighbourhood. Not sure if they still exist as a company.
And so I am up to date again!!
